I bought the Graco Disney Princess car booster seat for 69.99 at Walmart department store about 3 months or so ago. I made the purchase for my 3 year old daughter because her old car seat was becoming way too small and it was not comfortable for her any longer.
The choice behind this purchase was so simple. #1 It is made by Graco who I have come to trust over the past few years. They are a very well known company. #2 my daughter is a huge fan of Cinderella and the rest of the Disney princesses as well. So I knew this car seat would go over big. Comfort also played a factor. I liked the fact that the padding was nice and thick for her to be sitting on and up against.
To set the car seat up in the car, all you have to do is run the seat belt through the red slots in the car seat, then put your child in and buckle them up. That is it. You will notice the seat will be secure and will not tip or slide around too much at all.
The Graco Disney Princess car booster seat is made for toddlers and children up to 65 lbs, so this is a car seat that will last my daughter until she is old enough to sit by herself as she is only 31 pounds. I like the fact that it is a long lasting item. It is hard enough buying other things as she grows out of them, it's nice not to have to worry about buying a new car seat again.Correction from the top half of the paragraph. Some one told me in a comment that the max is 100lbs. It does say that on the box, but the inside pamphlet says 65, which must have been a misprint. I did look into it and the web sites I have found it on all say 100 lbs as well.
So far we have had no trouble with this car seat at all. My daughter loves the fact that all her favorite princesses are on it and she enjoys looking at them. The seat is higher then her little one was so she can see better and I can also see her better then before which is great and makes me feel more at ease when riding in the car with her.
The other day my daughter was actualy counting each princess she saw on the car seat. It was funny because she only counts to 15 and there are more than that so she just kept starting over again , I had to laugh. Needless to say I began teaching her to count higher.
As for looks, the Graco Disney Princess car booster seat is adorable. It is lined in royal blue and has a pink backround featuring Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, and beauty. Each princess wearing the dresses from the movie and looking so cute. The entire pad is about 2 inches thick all through it. This makes for a nice soft seat. It also has a cup holder on each side of the bottom. I use it for her sippy cup and for a canister of baby wipes for her hands in the other one. Having the cup holders really come in handy.
To wash the cover simply take the cover off of the pegs that hold it and throw it in the washing machine, yes it is washable. Machine wash warm and tumble dry the tag says. I have washed my daughter's car seat cover several times already and it comes out brand new each time and never wrinkles or anything. I have to say it has stayed in perfect condition for a kid who still spills everything.
I have seen the Graco Disney Princess car booster seat at K-Mart, Baby Depot inside of Burlington Coat Factory and Walmart which is where I bought the one my daughter has. They have a Hotwheels one for boys too, might want to take a look at those too.
Every store I saw them in, all sell them for the same price 69.99 plus tax. This car seat is very well worth the money and from a highly known company, well... you just can't beat that right? I am proud that I was able to find something that fits my daughter's needs and mine as well. Thats always a great thing.
I have looked at many car seats, none of them stood out to me like the Graco Disney Princess car booster seat, I am very very pleased with this purchase and I do really highly recommend this purchase to every one with a little girl. It is so pretty and so perfect in every way, and if you take the time to read up on it or call Graco them selves you can hear and see for yourself that this car seat is one of few that have not had any recalls or problems reported on it.
