Hi again. It certainly looks like you're getting the hang of this rather quickly. Another nice review from you.

I just noticed you're in West Lafayette. My husband was born and raised there, and he went to Purdue, just as you now do. His folks still live there, so we go there occasionally.

I look forward to seeing more from you soon, Michelle. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Hello Michelle with two ls, like my sister. Thanks for taking the advice in stride. Yes, this is a VH and I am no longer the lonely one.

Political science and history!! Whoa, I better watch what I'm writing. I happen to enjoy reviewing National Historic Sites and usually through in some of my political views or thoughts too.

To find out about the write off go to www.epinions.com/user-lyagushka

She has info and links on her home page. She is one of the hosts. You were wondering about your writing skills. All you need is to have H-VH ratings and you will be fine. You are there already. More details are on her pages. You can be at a big advantage because you may have many hotels to talk about. To tell the truth I have written about most hotels I have been to in the last two years. I will not go back further as the review would not be current or indicative of what the place may be like now. Fortunately my business brings me to different places all the time so I will start reviewing some of my stays of the last few weeks.

I do hope to read more of you in the future.

Hello! Thank you so much for your advice. I just came across this site a few weeks ago, so I'm still figuring it all out :). I am a political science/history student finding myself with a lot more free time than usual this summer, so doing these reviews is a fun way for me to stay in the habit of writing-much more fun than the 70 or so pages of papers I average per semester. I've decided I like doing travel reviews the best just because they are the most personal for me, and I definitely agree that this one didn't have enough personal touches. Let me know if you think these revisions help. I'd love info on the 'write-off', although I am not sure if I have enough experience for anything competitive like that! My e-mail is michelle_dunifon@hotmail.com if you'd rather send it there, or you can post it here and I'll check back. Thanks again!

Hello again my new friend. (Reply to this comment)

As of this moment you have fourteen VH, Very Helpful ratings and just one H, Helpful from me.

I have enjoyed your previous reviews and have already commented on some of them.

What I find lacking in this one is detail of the room and personal experience.

I'll start with the personal experience. I will use your own reviews for comparison. After reading your review yesterday on the Adare Manor I found I had a real sense of the hotel and your experience in it. You also gave some very helpful suggestions in the text.

This is what really helps me make decisions. Plain facts saying the place is beautiful, the rooms are different based upon price, and the like detail I can find by bringing up their web site. Maybe after reading your very fine review yesterday I just felt a bit let down. I just didn't see you in the hotel today like I did in yesterday review. Could be my problem.

Going to more detail on the room. I would like to know what the rooms are like. Are they clean? Spacious? Comfortable beds? TV, Games, Internet connections? Iron and board, Coffee makers, safe in the room? Good views, plenty of closet space? Heat and A/C work well? Decore? Desk, table, extra seating in comfortable chairs? etc

The bath is important too. Shower/bath combo? Water temperature and pressure easy regulated?Well lit? Good mirrors? Personal Mirrors? Fluffy towels and plenty of them? bath robes? counter top amenities like shampoos, rinses, shower caps, sewing kits, and the like? Is there a good hair dryer in the room? A heat lamp, air vent?

I mentioned quite a number of items and issues. There may be more things you can think of that made your stay better or perhaps not as good. All these do NOT have to be included. They are just some suggestions.

I am the lone H rater right now. H is still good, but after reading your other entries and the little bit of advice you have been given by others I feel you can update and add just a bit more info to take me over to a VH. I'm lonely here in H land.

I hope to continue reading your fine work. Also, if you would like, I can give you information on how to join a Write Off on hotels that is fun, slightly competitive, and can even get you a prize.
Let me know if you are interested.

Phil
