I admit it. I am biased. I love this company, and I love their approach to treats for my cats. My cats, an equally important aspect to this review, also love their treats. Read on to learn more about some quality tuna!
Grandma Lucy's - The Company
I love this company! Located in California and begun by a couple, they control all aspects of their treats. Their cat treats are Made in the USA and packaged here as well in their own facility. I appreciate their hands on approach, and that this small company as it has grown, has remained dedicated to maintaining the quality that has made them so special.
My business is cat products, especially treats, and I spend a lot of time looking for quality products to offer. Grandma Lucy's has been a delightful discovery.
Okay, get to the tuna!
I can hear the rumblings now from all those bewhiskered faces staring at the screen...so get to the dang tuna, Lady. Is it good, why is it good, tell me, tell me now!
Grandma Lucy's Freeze-Dried Tuna Cat Treats are made from hand selected USDA yellow fin and ahi whole tuna filets. They are human grade quality filets, which are cut into pieces, baked and then freeze-dried. These are good sized chunks, and of a texture that makes it easy to break into smaller pieces for your kitty.
Also remarkable about this treat, besides the quality of tuna used, is that this is all this treat contains. There are NO artificial flavors, preservatives, salt or sucrose, by-products and NO grains. Have a diabetic kitty? This is the kind of quality protein treat to ask your vet about including in your cats life. Have a cat with food allergies? If so, and if you know what they are allergic to, this single protein, nothing added treat may be just the right one for Fluffy. Having owned a cat with food allergies, finding food that didn't make him ill was a struggle, and not being able to treat him to his goodies was hard on us both. (You just had to see Joshua's face - a Lilac Lynx Point American Curl with huge blue eyes, to know how hard it was to deny him anything. Add to that his plaintive "Ack!" meow (that was it, no tuneful meow, just a hoarse sounding "ack".)and it was a real struggle.

Presentation
