:) ok, I'll admit it - my back yard is smaller than your living room. in fact, the 'lawn' is smaller than MY living room. so, as much as the idea of the 20" mower appealed to me, I recognized that I'd have a heck of a time turning the thing around.
on the other hand, the 14" allows me to push it out of the shed, around the lawn, and out the gate to the 2' wide strip of grass at the curb without ever having to pick it up and turn it around - though it's light enough that I COULD turn it at the end of every pass without straining my back.
I can do my lawn, my neighbor's lawn, and the grassy verge between our houses in the time it takes her poor husband to gas up their mower and get it running...without the cloud of fumes. I can then toss it in my station wagon, do the strip of creeping mint around my mom's patio, and cut her a path trough the 'meadow' to the bird house down by the creek. it also gets loaned out to friends whose big gas mowers make a mess of the hosta beds on the side of their houses, or can't get their mower between the house and the fence, period.
and so far, it's only been the meadow that causes longer grass to wrap around the axle, but that's easily cleaned up.
