I purchased this 20" cordless lawn mower in May '07 for slightly less than $300. This spring I discovered that the battery failed to hold a charge and the mower would not operate. When I called customer service to make a warranty claim, I was dismayed to learn that the battery warranty is only 1 year. When I asked how much a new battery would cost, I was quoted a price of $105.00!

I'm going back to the old carbon spewing lawn mower.
