I have 3 African Pygmy Hedgehogs. (Chucky, Junior and Sammmy). They are all amazing and amusing creatures.
When I bought my first one I really did not to much about them other then they slept all day and liked to eat mealworms.
This book has helped me greatly. It tells you everything that you need to know about Hedgehogs. From choosing a Healthy Hedgehog to some simple advice if they get sick. (always take a hedgehog to the vet if you suspect it is sick though).
The book explains the proper diet that a Hedgehog needs. It also explains breeding. I have breed Hedgehogs and it is was a wonderfull time.
This book has the best photographs of Hedgehogs and shows how truly buetifull they realy are.
So if you are looking for a Hedgehog I would buy this book first. Hedgehogs need lots of special attention and care and this book tells you all about it.
