Pros:Sound, feel, build, tone, volume and everything. Truly awesome instrument.

Cons:Can't find any other than light satin finish leaves wood a bit vulnerable. Thats all!

The Bottom Line: The firms reputation and history oozes from every pore of an extremely fine instrument. Whenever i pick up a guild I always get what I expect. Quality. Thats it.

I have this guitar. I am an experienced (25 years) player. The guitar is, typically of Guild, very well made, the action was higher than I like when bought-but I have quite small hands & use light (10 guage) strings-which it still holds a very full sound with. Dependability is 1st class, holds tuning well, no dead spots I can find. I gig with it weekly.Playability is truly superb, neck thickness feels 'full' rather than 'thick', body size is very deep-hence rich, vibrant tone-incredidibly responsive for vibrato, subtle touches, etc. Construction quality excellent-no manufacturing flaws I can find.Fishman electrics give what I (and others) think is the finest amplified acoustic sound I have ever heard-ever. Grover tuners are smooth as butter, bridge & saddle give impeccable intonation, and the Fishman controls do what they say they do. Which is what you want-no more, no less. This instrument is delightful for fingerpicking delicate ragtime (a la Ralph mcTell)or hammering out a rock rhythm in the midst of a full band-it cuts right through if you increase the EQ high frequencies plus max out the middle range. Not tried it in the studio yet. The only effect I use is Chorus-which is hardly pushing the guitar so I can't comment on efects units etc. I paid £799 for it-I've played Martin's for the same money that weren't a patch on this, and it gives every Taylor I've tried an even run for its money. Try one. Buy one. You'll love it. PS I don't work for Guild! (Or any other guitar maker!)
