Pros: Listening to Gullah.

Cons: None.  A fun drive.

We just got back from Charleston and had a wonderful time.  One of the highlights was Alphonso's tour which added so much to the plantation and architecture tours we also went on, of course, from a much different perspective.  Read the other reviews from 2004 as they are very accurate; we just wanted to point out that Alphonso is still going strong though Mr. Simmons is no longer actively bending wrought iron.  Alphonso is knowledgeable and a great character.  Don't miss this.
