| Rocks2k's Full Review: Hewlett Packard DeskJet 970c InkJet Printer |
Hewlett Packard has introduced the DeskJet 970C Professional Series printer, adding to their already wide line of color inkjet printers. With a list price of $399, you can actually find it cheaper if you shop around because I paid $350 for this printer. This printer offers completely automatic double-sided color printing at resolutions up to 2400x1200 dpi on photo-quality paper. It also uses HP's enhanced Color Layering Technology (PhotoREt III), which uses 17 levels of color intensity layered in such a way as to produce thousands of colors, as compared to most other technologies, that only use 8 levels.
Installation was a snap. The package comes with a simple eight-step instruction sheet that´s easy to read and follow. I used a USB cable to attach the printer to an iMac. Once connected, within five minutes the printer was operating.
The print speed was also good. I tested this printer on plain paper and in the High Quality print option it took a little over a minute and a half to print a 1 megabite file. Overall this printer is well worth the money. Whether its used in a home or for a big business this printer will meet your needs.
