The Bottom Line: I definitely recommend this all in one. It's nice to have everything in one location and it prints Word documents really fast and clear.

Most functions work really well, but it can be incredibly difficult to troubleshoot. Right now I cannot get mine to receive a FAX to save my life.
I have had this printer for about a year and a half. It has held up very well. I mainly use it to print word documents, but have printed color brochures. I also use the FAX often, but as I mentioned, the receive FAX is killing me!
USE
Setting up the machine is pretty easy. It comes with the usual install CD and guides you through the process. I had a cable modem when I first installed the printer. Now I use DSL through my one phone line. Either way, the CD guides you through a process of setting up the FAX answer so that you can supposedly receive a FAX automatically or let your answering machine take messages. This has never worked for me. This could be user error, but I've tried everything (yes, I tried tech support and the manual) and still can't get it working. I can send faxes, though.
I have never used the PHOTO PRINTER and card reader because I don't have a digital camera, but I'm really happy it has that function.
The SCANNER works very well. It is very self-explanatory.
The DOCUMENT FEEDER works really well. I have never gotten anything stuck in it and papers always align properly.
It is very easy to feed envelopes, labels and other ODD SIZED ITEMS through the feeder. It never prints in the wrong location or gets crunched up inside.
PRINT QUALITY
Black print, like from Word documents, comes out razer sharp. Color photos are not picture quality, but is it ever on any regular printer? It also prints extremely fast, which is a huge plus if you print large documents. I can print a 50 page script in a few minutes.
DRAWBACKS
The ink gets used up so quickly, it's pricey and annoying. Ink costs about $35 for two cartridges. I am constantly replacing ink, much more so than other printers I've used.
Obviously, the FAX thing has been mentioned!
Paper can get stuck in the machine, as with any copier, and it can be difficult to get it out. The machine doesn't come completely apart, so sometimes I have had to yank the paper out in small bits which is apparently a bad thing to do!
As far as all-in-ones go, I think this one works extremely well. As a printer, this also prints very crisply. It's definitely worth the money.
