HP D145 a Terrific Bang for the $

Pros: WOW!!! This does everything and WELL. I freed up about 3 sq.ft. of counter space.
Cons: None so far. Those that complain of noise are really nit picking.
The Bottom Line: BUY-BUY-BUY!! If anything you have is on the verge of crapping out it's a good excuse to jump into the HP D145

I'm an IT professional with a home office here in Sun City West, AZ. Bought the HP D145 at Costco for $549.00. This replaced a HP 960, A LARGE Toshiba fax and an HP 4P Scanjet.
Frankly I'll take the single machine any day of the week. The Toshiba would cough every time I tried to feed multiple documents and the HP 4P scanner was as big as a house and S=L-O-W. What a wonderful change.
Setup was a little complicated but if you take it slow and easy you can work through it just fine. It got hung up on the initial startup but that was probably cockpit trouble with the pilot.
The multiple copy feature on this machine works smooth as can be and the scan area is just as large as that BIG 4P.
Easy connect with the USB. The new ones come with a 6ft. USB. I had to buy a longer one to reach the computer but no big deal.
