I don't recommend the HP D145

Pros: Good print from pictures and documents on your computer

Cons: Bad scanning capability

The Bottom Line: The unit would work fine, for an office who isn't concerned so much with quality scanning, but if you're looking for an all in one home solution.....keep looking.

I purchased the HP D145 after reading several reviews. The machine worked great until I tried to scan and print a professional photograph. The photo had a white background, which the D145 turned pink. I was unable to edit the photo enough to print a decent looking picture. I had the picture scanned with a stand alone HP flatbed scanner and it scanned perfectly, perfect color. I called technical support and they told me that the scanner is unable to interpret the correct color and my only option would be to return it to the vendor (with a 20% re-stocking charge).
