The HP Pavilion 8595C that I purchased was selected after a great deal of thought and comparison shopping. I needed a fast machine with expandability and compatibility. I went with the HP over several other well known names for several reasons. First the speed 733mhz compared to most others at 700mhz. Second the price was fantastic and the machine was "fully loaded" with 128 MB RAM, 36g HD and 56K modem. The HP name is known and recognized and I was confident that service would be superb should I need it. I have installed several programs to this machine and have only had slight problems (most likely user error =)). My friends comment immediately on the smoked front plate that makes this PC look very sharp and professional. The front USB port is handy and highly functional. The only trouble I have had is with one game I installed and I am talking with the game software company because I think this glitch is in the game and not the system. A lot of bang for the buck.
