Pros: Extremely good pictures - fair better than canon A70.
Long battery life
Good Zoom
Cons: Bad LCD - Bulky
The Bottom Line: Recomended. Don't choose another camera with a lot of settings just to discover that it gives worse pictures :-)

| eiapoce's Full Review: Hewlett Packard Photosmart 720 Digital Camera |
I got this as the first Digital Camera. I tried to change it later for a Canon PowerShot A70. And I decided to stick with the olde HP720!!!!
Image quality is the key factor. The HP is a rather rugged, bulky, camera but its pictures have no rival in the "trendy" A70.
Hp pictures are crisp and detailed while Canon pictures are often blurry and "soft". There are not really too many shooting settings on the HP but since 90% of the photos is excellent for its 3Mp category, who cares!!! This is really a shame for Canon, to market a inferior product at a highter price. Also I could'nt believe that people actually raccomends the canon!
Anyway the HP is not defect free. It takes a long time to write to the SD card. Shooting at night with no flash can give out-of-focus pictures... (as for the canon it does the same automatically 100% of the times). The display is unreadable under light.
The good about this camera is the exeptionally long battery life, the extremely good auto white balance and the easy of use. It is really a point and shot camera. The optical Zoom is very good and even at full zoom you get crisp focused pictures.
