cleanlover's Full Review: Haier HDT18PA 17 in. Built-in Dishwasher
I purchased this great little machine about one and a half years ago from Walmart, which no longer carries it. I am here to say that is is one of the best purchases I ever made.
Keep in mind that this is NOT a replacement for a full size dishwasher. But, I have washed all sorts of things in this machine, with great results.
A couple of tips, if you are contemplating a purchase: try reversing the position of the rack from what is shown in the photos. It might make it easier to load. And try using (depending on your water hardness) double the amount of detergent that it takes to fill that little cup inside.
Also, since it is a small machine, don't expect it to remove such things as dried on eggs yolks and sticky rice residue. You must rinse well and wipe off such things before loading. Outside of that, it keeps your sink free from dirty dishes and sanitizes those dishes VERY well.
I must have purchased a Wednesday machine, because I haven't experienced any of the problems reported some other purchasers.
Bottom line: I highly recommend it! I paid only $159.00.
So, look carefully at the various websites to find the best price. Even if you have to replace it at the end of the warranty, I feel it is still worth the price.
