I have an old-fashioned kitchen that has never been remodeled since the 60's. It is in excellent shape except there is no dishwasher, which always bothered me. I decided to try the Haier countertop dishwasher. First of all, it is a lot bigger that I thought it would be...countertop--NOT! I have had to buy one of those kitchen island carts to store and use it. I roll it over to the sink. However, it works GREAT that way, though. If you buy this product, you need to know that the dishwasher MUST MUST MUST be sink level or higher or it will not drain!!! The sink attachment (provided) works, but it takes some time to figure it out. The pressure it creates in the faucet makes it hard to come off when you are done and want to disconnect it. I don't like to leave the attachment they provide on my faucet because I can't use my hand sprayer with it on. The dishwasher itself works very, very well, though. The dishes come out very squeaky clean. It is hard to fit pans, skillets, etc. inside because it is so small, so you need to be very creative in your loading, but once you figure it out, you will probably love it. It takes a lot longer than I thought for a "normal" cycle, but I don't mind that so much. I can't figure out the "vented dry" cycle though...the instruction manual says you need to press that button to get it to work and the light to come on, but every single time I turn it on, the green vented dry light is already "on"; I don't have to turn it on. I'm trying to find out more information on that feature to see if it's something I'm doing wrong or what. The dishes comes out practically dry when done, but you can just leave the door open to let them air dry if you want.
