Pros: Nice mature smell, calming, lasts
Cons: a bit strong, not for Everyone
Haiku By Avon has a pretty strong scent and seemed to have high alcohol content, so be careful not to spray too much. This perfume may be great for 35 years and up as it has a mature smell, but it isn't your grandmother's perfume either (unless, of course, your your grandmother is "hip"). The smell is pleasant, it's slighty lemony with a very deep, rich undertone of some kind. It reminds me of smelling-like-a very sweet, warm, concentrated lemonade with alcohol in it (not the drinking kind). If this is what you're going for then you've found the perfect perfume.
The design and colors of the Haiku By Avon bottle give off a great vibe of calmness and relaxation, with it's pastel-ish greens and silvers. The bottle isn't very feminine. It's actually in the shape of a Japanese temple of some sort. The bottle doesn't have the curves you'd usually find in many other women's perfume bottles. It is slim and a bit square-ish but overall it does seem quite neutral in design. The bottle matches the smell quite well; men m i g h t (keyword:might. ..but I don't recommend it) be able to get away with wearing this perfume as well. I guess it just depends on the guy. This will tell you that the perfume doesn't have a "fruity" (besides lemon), girly, sweet smell. It's rather more on the "sophisticated" side, yet simple...hence "Haiku".
Also, the smell lasts which is pretty important to know when buying a perfume.
Side note: You might not want to give this to your daughter as a High-School Graduation present but when she graduates from law school, give it to her then!
