Geez! My first cold of the beginning season. Yep; I got my first bit of a cold that started off like a simple sinus attack and the trickle down into the back of my throat, causing me to cough and making my throat sore...

I hate it! Especially when I'm at work and can't stop coughing. Very annoying to other co-workers and most of all to myself. Everyone looks at you and wants to steer clear; But I can't blame them for that, and I think my hand stayed more over my mouth than on the key-board. I didn't have a fever, so I felt I wasn't contagious.

Whenever I have a cold or cough caused from allergens or whatever the case; I usually buy the regular Halls and sometimes they will cause my mouth to feel a little blistered inside. (Probably from too much menthol and too much intake) to get relief.

On the way home from work, made a quick stop at CVS to pick up a few needed items; I noticed the new Halls Bursts and decided to give them a try because of the packaging and what it states.

They come in a blister push out package, that's attached to a colorful thin cardboard.

Once removed from the package you'll see a small box about the size of a tic-tac container; but a little bigger. The box has a flip-top to easily disperse each drop.

Halls Bursts are small and round in size. Reminds me of the red-hot candies I used to buy in my younger days.

The slogan says; portable, poppable,, soothing throat relief that's great tasting and sugar free.

These little drops come in three flavors; Apple Surge (green box), Cherry Surge (red box), and Mint Blast (blue box) and contain 30 small Halls Bursts.

Uses: Temporarily relieves; occasional minor irritation or sore throat pain.

Directions: Adults and children 5 years and over; dissolve 2 drops (one at a time) slowly in the mouth. Repeat every 2 hours as needed. Children under 5; ask a doctor.

I paid 1.69 for one and when I got home couldn't wait to try these miniature poppers. They do contain some menthol but the cherry flavor was very tasty. You wouldn't know they were sugar-free. Almost like eating candy. The menthol isn't over-powering like the regular Halls

Most of all, I got temporary relief from coughing. Which lasted about an hour. But they really worked and gave relief to my irritated throat. I just have to keep popping the little Halls Burst whenever needed.

I can use a box of these up fast. Using 2 every hour; with 30 to a box, will only last 15 hours. They were soothing to my irritated throat, and a little short term relief is better than no relief. My co-workers were also relieved and I shared and made known my new Halls Bursts poppers.

I will buy these again just for the purpose of being around other people and not smelling of overly strong menthol.

They're in a convenient small package, easy to carry in my purse or pocket and I won't mind sharing if someone has the need.

Halls Bursts don't cause drowsiness when you have to be alert while at work.
