When my 4 slice toaster took a quick unannounced death on me the other morning I was sad because it was a nice Hamilton Beach one I bought in 2005. As I was grocery shopping at my Weis food store I seen this 2 slice bread toaster from Hamilton Beach 22605. It came in a protective cardboard shell when I opened the box up and then slight disappointment, just a two foot cord. That means I had to re-align my counter appliances.

I immediately made some chipped beef on toast. I had to experiment with the toaster style because I like my toast just before burnt. It two times to find the right slot. It is the fourth out of five selectors. The next morning I warmed me up a couple of Pop-Tarts. I've used bagels, rye bread and Eggo Waffles. When you push down the bread goes in deep for the heat on both sides to thoroughly toast your bread. When it pops up, your bread or whatever comes up higher and then shuts itself off. If anything goes wrong it has a automatic shut off inside the toaster.
As I moved it this morning I saw some bread crumbs on the counter so I lifted it up and pushed up the latched bottom and cleaned out the little tray on the bottom. I've had no problem with any of the food products I have used in it. It did make the kitchen smell good when I was toasting a Everything or a Blueberry bagel. My only problem is the short length of the electric cord. But it stands next to the brand new Hamilton Beach Coffee Maker I bought along with it. Both styles compliment each other.
Overall, I wait about a minute for my brown toast. It fits right up against the counter wall. With the naked eye I will say it's 14 inches in length and about 11 inches tall. The outer shell is made of fabricated aluminum and tin with steel bar bread holders. I have no complaints about the $8.00 I paid for it.
