My parents gifted me with this slow cooker.

This has to be one of the greatest inventions of all time. No matter what time of day or night, I can cook a meal.
Faster than ordering take-out. I can have my meat, seasonings and water in the cooker before you can say, I want fries with that.
The capacity is perfect for roasts, chicken, or soups. Depending on the size, you will want to cut roasts into two pieces to ensure a better fit.
The three settings are high, low, and keep warm. I usually take meat directly from the freezer and place it in the cooker. So, I always use the high setting.
A small two pound roast generally takes about five hours to cook, I like to leave mine for six to eight hours. I know when I get ready to serve it, it will be tender and juicy. If I'm still preparing side dishes and the meat is done then I switch over to keep warm.
The see thru lid eliminates the need to lift it off, letting out heat. The actual "pot" is a snap to clean by hand or dishwasher. I place this in the bottom part of the dishwasher, it fits nicely and comes out sparkling.
With this appliance, it's possible to cook enough to feed a large family. Or my preference, freeze the leftovers for later.
I admit this cooker is used at least twice a week in my home. There's nothing like steaming, homemade chili. Of course it tastes even better when I'm able to sleep while it's simmering away.
Every household could benefit from this product. Working parents, students, at home caregivers, and retirees.
The only downside is that the "pot" is somewhat heavy. So use caution if you have limited mobility.
