I've owned 2 of these units. I love the carafeless design. I bought it for the 4 hours programmable shut off, instead of the standard 2 hour auto shut off and for the lack of a glass pot.

Unfortunately, it LEAKS, badly. The design of the canister is such that the coffee will leak around the bottom edges into the water reservoir and/or out onto the countertop. Large quantities of leaking coffee. 2 or 3 paper towels worth of clean up.

After about a year on my first machine, I thought that I just had a bad machine, so I purchased a new one. Same problems after several months. I'm now looking for a replacement from another vendor.

I also noticed the newly designed replacement to the Deluxe model (Hamilton Beach BrewStation Select Drip Coffeemaker - 47334) and it appears to have the exact same canister. Not sure why Hamilton Beach hasn't recognized this issue and corrected it. It's unfortunate. I love the coffee maker, but I can't continue to use it when I have to clean up the coffee off the counter every day.

It also needs a light in the filling area. I have the black unit and it's nearly impossible to see how much coffee you have dispensed into a travel mug.
