Pros: Looks Great, I like the press to pour feature.
Cons: Too high, plastic coffee pot stains, coffee burns, filter basket messy
The Bottom Line: Not recommended. Coffee not fresh enough, long enough.

| likeitfresh's Full Review: Hamilton Beach Brew Station Coffee Maker 47224 |
We just replaced our B&D Spacemaker coffee maker after it finally gave out after 10yrs of great service. I planned on buying a stainless carafe type (without heating plate)to keep the coffee fresh and hot longer. When I saw the Hamilton Beach Brew Station on sale at Walmart I decided to check it out. After all the box said that the gentle warming plate keeps the coffee hot longer without burning it. Just what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I don't find that it's any different from your typical heating plate. It does burn the coffee and I can't drink it after 2 hours of cooking. I also find it too high for under the upper kitchen cabinets when on the counter top. We have to pull it out to the edge of the counter to add water and coffee. As someone else stated, the plastic coffee pot stained after a couple of uses even when rinsed. I also don't like the coffee filter basket which sits directly on the coffee pot. When you go to dump the coffee filter, the condensation underneath drips all over the place. I think that the concept is neat and I like the press to pour feature. However, I think it could be much improved by making the coffee pot with a glass or stainless liner and separate it from the coffee filter basket.
