Can openers and I have love-hate relationships. I can either use it or I can’t. The worst problems I have is difficulty in grabbing the can with the blade. Some can openers fall over whilst operating and some come apart completely. My sister bought me the Hamilton Beach Open Ease Extra Tall Can Opener 76300 for Christmas last year and I can honestly say I am totally satisfied with this product.

This extra tall power can opener has an extra tall slim design, knife sharpener, detachable cutting lever, hands-free operation, magnetic lid holder, cord storage.
My Experience:
I usually end up using a manual can opener because I have so many problems with electric ones but when my sister bought me this product, I felt obliged to use it.
I was really surprised that when attaching the can, this can opener practically grabs it from you. There is no struggle to line up the blade. The blade doesn’t vibrate and makes a clean cut around the can. The magnet keeps a tight hold of the top until you release it. I have cut myself many times on others that would just drop it.
This can opener has the capacity to open 32oz sauce cans and large coffee cans just as easily as the smaller ones.
There is a knife sharpener on the back of this product but I have a sharpener I use separately so I can’t comment on its performance as I haven’t used it.
Cleaning is a lot easier as the cutting lever snaps easily out to reveal all the covered areas which are difficult to clean otherwise.
This can opener is of modern design, no frills but looks inconspicuous on the counter-top.
Conclusion:
The Hamilton Beach Open Ease Extra Tall Can Opener 76300 has proven itself over and over to me. Since I have used this product, I have no more frustration when attaching the can or trying to clean in all the tiny crevices. It is sturdy, tall enough to open larger cans. It doesn’t fall over, it holds the lid and it makes a clean cut.
I recommend this product for people like me who just don’t get along with some electric appliances. Hamilton Beach has made a user-friendly product for a very fair price.
