Pros: Strong blowing power
Built in Night Light
Mounts onto wall easily
Cons: Plug system is big. Only this can fit in a double outlet properly.
We used this Hamilton Beach brand hair dryer in an apartment we rented at a motel for a little over a week.
Three Gals and a Bald Guy
My wife and I took two of our grand daughters 9 and 10 up to Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor area and just returned. One thing for sure, getting shower time for this big guy always seemed to tough and I always came out last. Each of the gals would shower and then dry their massive amounts of hair. They all used the same Hamilton Beach Wall Mount Hair Dryer with 1500 watts of power. Fir me, three seconds and my hair is finished drying. For each of them more time and power was needed.
This is a midsized hair dryer that is light in hand yet powerful for many big heads of hair per day. It seemed to work non-stop at our visit this year and it performed just as well two years ago.
The dryer has the usual ON/Off and speeds as do most hair dryers but this also has another added attraction. No, it's not the built in ground fault connection that shuts the dryer off the moment too much electricity starts to flow through the dryers system as in if it dropped into a tub or a sink filled with water. The "Reset" is in the plug in section.
The extra attraction is a built in light in the plug in part of the hair dryer's cord. It has a small light that stays on as long as the hair dryer is plugged in. That means no changing a small night light for the use of a hair dryer in the same outlet. The hair dryer's yellow light gives off a gently soft light effect that is enough to help steer the "blind" from going "Bump in the Night."
That was all we needed in that bathroom that was nearby the room they slept in. I liked having that light on for them.
Pops Last Thoughts and Heating Up Pizza
One year many moons back my wife and I stayed at a lovely and romantic place in Connecticut. One night we ordered in pizza. The next day we had left over pizza but nothing to heat it up with. Our room had two items that did the trick. The slices were packed in foil. We turned up the iron and held the pizza on it all the while shooting at the sealed food with a strong hair dryer. We had hot pizza in no time. I'm not saying that what you should do but do know the 1500 watts this Hamilton Beach hair dryer offers can do the job! That wattage can generate a lot of heat. Thankfully there is also an "air" feature that just blows cooler air.
The handle of this hair dryer is compact enough for small hands of my grand daughters yet the 1500 Watt power gives this high heat. Both grand daughters could hold it easily. The same for me in my brief use. This is a wall mount hair dryer that comes with some screws for anchoring. This uses two screws to mount. The hair dryer fits snugly and securely into it's wall mounted holster.
This hair dryer still looks good and stood up to the punishment of three big heads of hair and a bald guy this past week. Again though it was the built in light feature that sold me on this otherwise "regular" hair dryer.
