I got Hands Down as a Christmas gift. I love playing it with my friends and brother. Sometimes, my mom plays with us too. It's a three or four player game. The more the merrier.
There is a 3D board called the "Slam-O-Matic" with yellow, orange, green, and blue hands. There is also a deck of card with a joker in it. The goal of the game is to have the most matches at the end of the game. Each match is worth one point. The joker is worth two points.
On your turn, you first draw a card. Then, if you have a match in your hand, you slam down your colored hand, yelling "Hands Down!" All of the other players have to quickly slam down their hands. The last hand slammed down loses a card. The player can play as many matches per turn as they want. When you are finished, you say pass and play continues to the right.
You can also fake a hands down. Whether you have a match or not, you can yell hands down and pretend to hit your hand. If any player hits their hand, you take a card from them. Be careful though! If you accidentally touch your hand, your turn is automatically over.
I love playing Hands Down and would recommend it to all my friends. A great Christmas present for any kid.
