A good first game module for the Handspring Visor Family

Pros:Good game play. Great for showing off your Visor Platinum. Takes up no memory.
Cons:No color if you have a Visor Prism
The Bottom Line: Good game. Good graphics. Takes up no memory. Easy to use. No setup required. Intuitive play. You'll forget that you're playing a game on your Visor.
This a Springboard module is first of presumably a bunch of games that will work with the Visor family of PDA's. The beauty of having a game like this on a module is that it takes up no memory on your Visor. The entire program is in the module. Setup is a breeze - you just insert the module and into the back of your Visor and you can play right away. No need for installation or anything.
Because the game takes no space on your Visor, the designers have not been afraid to use up memory to make this game replayable and look great. The graphics are surprisingly good and will look particularly good if you have a Visor Platinum where the 16 shades of grey makes a substantial difference over the 4 shades of grey that the Deluxe and regular version have. The only drawback to this game is that it has no color so if you have a Visor Prism, you may be somewhat disappointed.
The replay value of this game is pretty good since it comes with three complete golf courses - Summerlin, Sawgrass, and Badlands - as well as three different modes of play.
One caution that I would have with this game is that there is quite a lot of tapping and dragging with your stylus which may scratch your screen. An easy and fairly inexpensive solution are the WriteRight screen protectors. Please see my reviews on both the Handspring Visor Platinum and the WriteRight protectors for more details. Overall, this is a good game. The price is comparable to that of a Gameboy module - about $30 - and you'll get decent value for your money. You may even forget that you're playing on your PDA. I look forward to future games available for my Visor Platinum.
