Pros: Packs a lot into a small device, easy to use, relatively inexpensive.
Cons: Phone can be cumbersome due to size, not many accessories to add on.
The Bottom Line: If you are in business and want to stay connected, this is a great asset. As long as you are a Sprint customer, this is your best email/phone/PDA integrated option.

| tempo02's Full Review: Handspring Treo 300 Handheld |
How does a small business operate in today's financially unstable markets? Given the technological advances in today's world it makes perfect sense to cut out the excessive overhead that once plagued many companies. I'll explain how the Treo 300 solves this. My business partner and I operate out of two offices (home) in two major American cities - Chicago and Phoenix. Communication is key and response time is crucial. The Treo 300 incorporates everything a small business trying to play with the big guys needs -- a cell phone, a PDA, endless software options for Palm OS to incorporate into the device, and instant access to email. This little thing is a treasure trove.
The Phone
The cellular phone part of this Treo 300 works with Sprint's 3G service. I've been a Sprint customer for 4 years now and the biggest complaint I have is their customer service. They used to have an automated customer service line which was virtually impossible to get a live person, but now you can at least talk to somebody (although not always helpful). The phone itself is impressive and integrates perfectly with the PDA. The only complaint I have is the size. If anybody has seen Orny Adams' bit in "Comedian" with Jerry Seinfeld, you know what I mean. Other than that, the volume and reception work well. Another great feature is a speaker-phone. The people I have spoken to on the other end of the line have commented on how clear it sounds.
The PDA
This PDA uses Palm OS and is pretty self-explanatory. What makes it special is the integration with the 3G network to give it internet access. Browsing websites is a breeze, although many get chopped up and are hard to navigate. My most useful part of this phone is the easy access to my company's POP/SMTP email account through SnapperMail. This software is imperative if you want to send and receive emails through your server. It truly makes my business life much easier and clients much happier when I'm able to respond on the go.
