Pros: Clarity, Style, majority of materials used, weighted 'champagne' side speakers
Cons: no external jack, subwoofer
The Bottom Line: If you want speakers to show off, speakers that sound very clean and crisp then these are the ones for you.

I was debating between these and those clear speakers that are made for iMacs. I'm glad I went with these.
Styling and Materials:
These look great. The fake cherry wood looks fantastic with the black mesh and dark silver colored speakers. The dark silver stands the speakers use are perfect, very stylish. I like how the fake wood is NOT shiny, doing so would have made it look very fake but instead it has a nice matte finish. My only grip is that it seems that the unit came with a few imperfections; bump here, scratch there... literally as I only found 1 of each and both were on the back of the unit. The grain styling even matches on different sections, not something you would find with cheap units. I don't like how the legs of the subwoofer are also coated with this finish, basic black would have worked better there.
Sound Quality:
Excellent. The mids feel a little flat but come through very clear. Highs are excellent. Bass is rather limited because of the size of the subwoofer box. Bass doesn't get too loud which is a good thing since it emphasizes *quality* of quantity. You can always increase the bass through Windows. The subwoofer is pretty decent though but not as sharp as I would have hoped (a little sloppy). But compared with other computer speakers I have tried, these are the best.
Overall:
I love these. I would have liked if the volume control was found on both auxillary speakers instead of only the right one. I like the surround option as it is a nice addon.
