For the Price ... Superb HI FI performance

The Bottom Line: Great product for the price range. HIFI quality with great treble and midrange, good quality base for a 28watt subwofer. They also look great on my desk

This product is awesome, regular it was $49 got them for $35 on sale at Fry's. Now this is the third pair I try, not looking so much for power but quality is a must. I work a few hours a day on my PC and like a high quality back ground sound and then when I want to pump it up there is sufficient power to fill up the space in my 14x20 office.
I also tried the Creative Sound and the Altec Lansing Lansic at the same price $40-50 with about 30-50 watt but as soon as you pump them up they distord, the sound becomes more narrow and the tremble is lost with the presence of the subwofer; so I had to return them.
Now the HK695 keep that HI FI quality present, as you pump up you keep the treble and the midrange present and still there is enough base for the office setting. They are even great for the home when you want to have a great quality speaker for HI FI quality performance. Now I really like my KLH and the base or subwofer is not like my KLH at 50watt because it can be more used as a Boom Box they are in an other category, with more distortion of the treble and the base not what I wanted for the office.
Finally the KH 695 are great for their price range and you will get outstanding performace out of them as for jazz even house music not a problem, while they have great bass you don't get that rumble in the floor as a real subwofer. But for the office it is perfect and did fit the budget. The only flaw is the on/off button on the box under the desk, so instead I turn off my power bar at night when I leave. Still a great buy and strongly recommend them as the best buy at this price range.
