A step above many lagers, but still a lager (Reply to this comment)
by gosborn
My wife is a lager drinker and at times I am forced to join her due to a lack of acceptable ales at a given location. She enjoys Harp but prefers Tennents. I definitely think Harp is a strong step above most lagers, as I feel it has much more character and body than most. The only lager that I will drink without complaint however is Tennents. A truly fine full bodied lager. (Is that an oxymoron?) Do you have an opinion on Tennents?

Harping on Harp (Reply to this comment)

It's increasing hard to find the Irish-born Harp in the US, so much of it now comes from Toronto. Enjoyed your review. What do you think of Kinsale Lager by the way? Another review? cheers

I pop in from time to time, but to be honest I got increasingly fed up with epinions lack of listing updates. Putting every beer in hard-to-find got a little tiresome...
