Mini-Megatron

Written: Mar 22 '01
  • User Rating: Very Good
  • Durability:
Pros:Cloak mode is nice and size comparison the Optimus Primal is good
Cons:Dragon neck is weird and robot stomach doesn't connect
The Bottom Line: BM Megatron is an average toy...but not as good as the previous Megatrons

The best dragon is the Beast Wars Megatron. Beast Machines Megatron is a smaller version of the Beast Wars Megatron but isn't as good. BW Megatron was much more stronger looking and over all a better toy. BM Megatron was made where he could have his cloak around him from the TV show. BM Megatron does resemble the BW Megatron in a way. BM Megatron can transform from robot to dragon and can have his cloak around him. His chest can open revealing the Predacon symbol within. BM Megatron is easy to transform but in dragon or robot mode the wings to tend to fall over. Maybe it's just the toy that I own. The dragon neck and head do tend to get annoying. The gears within the neck don't seem to operate that well and when you try to extend the neck upwards the gears retract and his neck and head bend forward and tends to look downward. In robot mode the tail that is connected to his right arm does get in the way unlike the BW Megatron where the tail in robot mode was connected to his robot head and remained on his back. In robot mode, the little dragon arms form his stomach and they do not connect to anything and sort of make it look like Megatron isn't fully transformed. The good thing is that BM Megatron does match the same size of BM Optimus Primal, but looks like a down right weakling compared to BM Rattrap. BM Megatron's cloak mode isn't too bad. It doesn't come with the arms that the TV show has, but it is a nice look. Over all, BM Megatron is a pretty decent toy. Though he shouldn't be considered a Mega-Transformer...more like a Deluxe Transformer. The price is a little too much for what you get.
