| gijill62's Full Review: Hasbro Busy Ball Popper |
For my sons first birthday we were looking for a toy that he would enjoy and that would also provide some educational value. We looked through Target and little fellow had most of the toys they sold but we spotted the Playskool Air-tivity Ball Popper. My 3 year old practically grabbed it off the shelf and proclaimed that was what his brother wanted.
Great we brought he toys home and by husband had inserted the required D batties and put it together in all of 2 seconds. Very simple assembly. We pushed the button and balls started popping everywhere and was accompinied by cheerful music.
As soon as it started my 1 year old was pratically hyperventalting with joy as he tried to catch the balls and put them back in the hole. It was a blast! I have never seen him react so joyfully to a toy. Ever!
Well the joy went on for about a week until one day the air stopped flowing and all we got was the music. I changed the batteries and nothing still no air. I promptly called Playskool and informed them of the problem and they said that they would send a label to send the toy back and we would receive a new one. Great, but my one year old doesnt understand that and is greiving over his toy:(
The toys itself is about 14 inches tall and 12 inches long with a clear platic base with a motor and an on/off switch. There are two plastic pieces that snap on that make ramps. When the toy is turned on you push a large button that causes the motor to spin. This toy come with 5 light weight and flimsy balls that go into the base and when the air is flowing they pop out and go back down the ramp and it starts all over again.
Quite often the balls actually fly out of the toy and my 1 year old has a blast chasing them around and putting them back in.
I think we paid 19.99 for this toy and it was the last one on the shelves so I am assuming it is quite popular.
I would highly recommend it but I would hate to have other children disapointed when theres breaks as well. I would suggest waiting until Playskool has the problem resolved but I have to admit there customer service is pretty excellent. Overall this is a great toy if yours is lucky enough to last longer then a week.
