A few months ago my daughter purchased the Furreal Friends newborn white jungle tiger with her weekly allowance. We found it brand new in the box at a yard sale that we stopped at where the woman only charged my daughter $5.00 for it. The price was great, I know for a fact that this one goes for between $15.00-$20.00 depending on the store or web site that you buy it at. Walmart used to have it the cheapest at $14.88 here in Rhode Island however, I have not seen it for a while there.

Details and facts:

The Furreal Friends newborn white jungle tiger is all white based in color with black stripes going through out it's body. The fur is ultra soft like kitten fur. It feels very true to life of an actual animal. The Furreal Friends newborn white jungle tiger is just that, a newborn, so he is half the size of your average Furreal Friend. This makes him easy to carry or take on sleep overs.

This cute little cub can move it's head and eyes, it can make purring and little growling noises as you would hear from a real baby tiger. It is very life like and adorable. The sounds are not overly loud and certainly will not annoy anyone. It does go in to sleep mode when it has not been played with for five minutes. This is great to preserve the batteries. This toy comes with a brush, a bottle and an official adoption certificate where your child can write their name, the tiger's chosen name, date of adoption and so on.

Batteries:

However, keep in mind that this is a "Try me" toy, which means it could have been pressed a hundred or more times and those batteries that come with it, may be running low. I would make sure to have batteries on hand just in case. The Furreal Friends newborn white jungle tiger takes double A sized batteries. The instructions say that you should not mix old and new batteries together.

When you change the batteries you will need to have a phillips head screw drive to remove the single screw that holds the battery case together. The battery case is located in thew stomach area of the Furreal Friends newborn white jungle tiger. It is easy to access and the battery changing process should take no more than a minute or two to complete. This toy is very good on batteries too. I find that the sleep mode saves the battery life. My daughter has had the "Try me" batteries in her's since she got it at the yard sale months ago and it still has not needed the batteries to be replaced yet.

Age recommendation:

The Furreal Friends newborn white jungle tiger is age recommended for children who are ages three and over. The only warning on the packaging is that you should remove all plastic ties and such before giving this to your child to prevent a choking hazard from forming.

Use:

My daughter uses her Furreal Friends newborn white jungle tiger daily ever since she bought it. This is one of her favorites, she has many on the newborn line so far. I know she is very in to tigers so this is one reason why it has become a favorite. However, I do feel that she is proud to have bought this one for herself with out help. She earned it and that makes it all the more special to her. My daughter's friends and my nephew all love this tiger. It is a toy that always comes out when my daughter has company. They all enjoy it. My daughter likes to nurture it and pretend that he is real. She named him "Sully" after a Monsters Inc character.

My recommendation:

My daughter got a great deal on the Furreal Friends newborn white jungle tiger. She was able to buy it for herself and she was proud of that fact. The Furreal Friends newborn white jungle tiger is great on batteries, is not too loud or annoying like some battery operated toys tend to be, the sounds are clear and easy to make out. Even the movements are very life like and cute. My daughter has really had a blast with her Furreal Friends newborn white jungle tiger. I would certainly recommend it.
