Nice little collection for the money.

Durability:  
Pros: Contains a Cardassian warship, Federation runabout, and DS9 with nice detail work.

Cons: No Defiant in this collection and DS9 is a bit flimsy

The Bottom Line: Nice if you are a fan of Startrek and DS9 in general. If you or your child is not a fan then of course get another toy.

I remember getting these not long before I graduated high school. My folks knew I was a Startrek Fan but Mom did scold me for spending my money on little toy ships. Even though she too is a Startrek fan. Well I am glad I got them. they were some of the last of the collection that I was able to get. I wish Defiant had been in this collection but all in all it was a well rounded collection.
The details on all three models are really nice. DS9 is a bit flimsy but that is probably due to the fact that it does have sharp edges and because this is a toy after all it has to be safe for little ones to handle, fall on, throw, well you get the point. All in all they are beautiful models. I saw both the Cardassian ship and the runabout in a "metalic" collection but all that is is the ships painted in silver and with a black paint wash to make them look as if they are pewter. I actually prefer the full color versions which this collection has. I have looked the models over and other than the flimsyness of DS9 I have seen no design flaws which sometimes occur in low end models especially those geared toward children. As I have said before about similar micromachine collections it is nice to be able to have so many ships together without it taking up all your desk to display them.
