| some_guy5's Full Review: Hasbro Star Wars Episode III Kit Fisto Action Figu... |
I think I am almost out of little know Jedi to review. Two more after this I think. Kit Fisto has actually had a part, if not a line, in Attack of the Clones. Perhaps you will remember C3PO and the awful humor that was shot around him before and during the arena battle on Geonosis. I am talking about things like, he gets his head knocked off and says "I think I am losing my head." I don't think that exact thing happened but it was awful along those lines. So when the robot with C3PO's head was shooting at Jedi, Kit Fisto force pushes him, knocking him over and trapping him under another droid. Then Kit Fisto flashes a big time movie stare smile.
Kit Fisto is figure number 22 and a member of the collection number 2 in the Revenge of the Sith series. There are a fair amount of Kit Fistos on the shelves and as a B level character (so far at least) I don't think there is any hurry to buy him right away. I am leaving Kit Fisto in his original packaging. This figure is not recommended for children under the age of four because the small pieces can be a choking hazard. As far as the durability of this series of figures, well I don't open them. But I did open some from Episode I and I can tell you from past experience that the small weapons and accessories will get lost. As a boy I tried so hard to keep track of them and just failed. Slowly but surely the guns and lightsabers disappeared. By and large the figures are durable. The heads can be popped off by abuse or a determined push (for those with heads that rotate), and the hands can be chewed until they no longer function. That is my best guess as to how well this series will hold up.
Kit Fisto stands 3.75 inches tall. He is green with big bug like eyes. The eyes have giant black pupils and are rimmed in red. Kit Fisto has large tentacle things growing from his head, some of which hang down over his chest while the rest hang down his back. He wears brown Jedi robes and brown boots all of molded plastic. Kit Fisto has joints at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, and knees. This figure also has an option I really like. The way his arms bend and the way his hands are molded make it possible to hold a lightsaber in two hands. I just think that makes them seem more realistic since they tend to switch from single to two-handed grips in the movies. Kit Fisto does not have a signature action. As with all figures that don't have a signature action, Kit Fisto does come with a terrain base. His looks like building or ship floor paneling. Finally, Kit Fisto sports a green lightsaber, probably because he is totally jealous of Yoda, maybe. His lightsaber is also removable, and the handle attaches to his belt. Nice of them to mix things up a bit.
I have already explained Kit Fisto's big part in Attack of the Clones. According to the box his role in Revenge of the Sith will be....
Kit Fisto is a Jedi Master of great skill and vision. He can breathe underwater, making him well suited for missions above and below sea level. He is asked by Mace Windu to help arrest Supreme Chancellor Palpatine for treason.
In case you think "underwater" should be two words, don't blame me. I just reproduce what is on the box. I am anxious to see that seen where they try to arrest Palpatine though.
I give this figure a moderate recommendation. He is kind of cool looking and can breathe under water, so if you kids like playing with their figures in the tub he won't drown.
