Saesee Tiin is another of the many many Jedi figures that we know very little about prior to the release of Revenge of the Sith collection. Saesee Tiin is another Jedi Council member and also a Jedi Master. He is rather ferocious looking for a Jedi and has an unpleasant look on his face.
Saesee Tiin is figure number 30 and a member of the collection number 2 in the Revenge of the Sith series. As a collector, I do not remove my figures from the package, so my review will consist of what I can see with the figure still enclosed. These figures are not recommended for children under the age of four because the small pieces can be a choking hazard. As far as the durability of these figures, well I don't open them. But I did open some from Episode I and I can tell you from past experience that the small weapons and accessories will get lost. As a boy I tried so hard to keep track of them and just failed. Slowly but surely the guns and lightsabers disappeared. By and large the figures are durable. The heads can be popped off by abuse or a determined push (for those with heads that rotate), and the hands can be chewed until they no longer function. That is my best guess as to how well this series will hold up.
Like the majority of the basic figures, Saesee Tiin is 3.75 inches tall. The most prominent features of this figure are the horns extending downward from his head. From the figure and photos on the box, I wonder what he does if he needs to look at something on the floor, since it looks like the horns keep him from looking down. Saesee Tiin has rough skin. In other figures I have spoken highly of the level of detail on the faces of these figures. This one surpasses them all. Every bump and contour of his gnarly face is recreated in accurate detail. Saesee Tiin wears brown Jedi robes of molded plastic. He has a cape around his waste of dark brown cloth. Even still enclosed within the package the cape is not hanging right, sticking out at an awkward angle. The cape is secured by a heavy brown belt. Saesee Tiin sports a green lightsaber in his clawed grip. He appears to have joints at his shoulders and elbows. The Jedi Master does not have a special action, but does include a terrain base. Saesee Tiin's base looks to be mimicking the floor of a building or ship.
I actually don't recall having seen even a glimpse of Saesee Tiin in the movies up to this point. According to the information on his package Saesee Tiin is an important figure in the story....
Jedi Council member Saesee Tiin is well known for his exceptional starfighter piloting skills and daring space battles. His telepathic abilities and strong connection to the Force make him a powerful member of the Jedi Order.
He certainly looks fierce enough.
It appears that figures have been created for all of the major Jedi characters, even though they have had limited introductions in the movies to this point. I would recommend you buy Jedi Council member Saesee Tiin, but he should not be among the first figures you purchase. The way all of these powerful Jedi outnumber the duo of Sith kind of makes you wonder....
