iruleitstrue's Full Review: You Don't Know Jack Vol. 4 - The Ride for Windows,...
Here is another installment of You Don't Know Jack. This is volume 4, The Ride. Most people think that sequels get worse and worse. Actually, in this series, it gets better and better.
Each game has 13 questions, a change from the 7 or 21 question games of past volumes. When picking a category, you buzz in to stop the rotating list. Each category has a value, going from as low as $21 to as high as $12,5 something. This is also a change. More money=harder question.
Most questions are multiple choice. Sometimes, you'll get a strange question, such as a gibberish question, where you have to figure out what common phrase, title, or famous place rhymes with a really stupid sentence, the 3-way, where the answer is one of three choices, dis or dat, where you tell if something is one thing or another, and the Jack Attack, where a word appears on the screen and other words appear and disappear around it, and you buzz in when the two subjects match according to the clue.
Some people say that trivia games are bad because questions always repeat. With the ride, it can't happen until you go through every question in the game. This is possible because the game is like a TV series. Each game you play is an episode with a theme. All episodes go in order. You will always start with censorship when you first play the game.
Overall, this is a very fun game, but recommended for multi-player. Single player sucks.
