Hayward heater badly engineered

Specifically H250, Has anybody had a similar problem?
I am on my 3rd heater I keep getting the same excuse “Your water chemistry is wrong” “that is why you have a leak”
This time I had enough and decided to investigate the internals of the heater myself. I am not a “tinkerer” I have over 45 years experience in numerous tech disciplines.
I opened it and to my surprise it was leaking only from the copper pipe where it comes through the side plates (looks like stainless).
Now for the question: Is the water chemistry only bad at the pass through junction (Copper/Stainless if it is stainless)? Shouldn’t it be bad chemistry through the whole length of the copper?
Why only failed copper in those several spots? How come there is no leak at the 180 degree bend where the copper has the most stress and is subjected to the same internal water chemistry? There are several possible reasons for failure 1.The hard PVC piping of the heater to the filter carries the motor’s vibration into the heater and the friction point where the copper meets the stainless creates a wear point which lends itself to premature failure (a vibration damper bushing would help). 2. Severe chemistry problems, however this would result in a uniform degradation of the entire copper coil not just breakdowns at contact points.
3. Pump timing shutting off before heater cool off period. Forcing the copper to expand slightly >0.003 everywhere except where it cannot i.e. through the stainless holes. There too, I suggest incorporating removable bushings where the copper meets the stainless?
Overall performance of the heater when new was good but premature failure for the reasons I have outlined is no excuse.
To add insult to injury parts are not available from Hayward directly. Only via a retail network that overcharges for everything.
