From the very first day I met my husband, he was fighting those pesky white flakes from dandruff. He had always used whatever hair care product was nearby, instead of using something specifically designed for dandruff. When we moved in together months later, I picked up a bottle of Head & Shoulders. From that moment on, he was strictly a Head & Shoulders user. It wasn't until recently that he tried their Head & Shoulders Refresh Shampoo. He hasn't gone back to his regular Head & Shoulders Shampoo since!
~*~Cost~*~
For the 25.4 FL OZ bottle of Head & Shoulders Refresh, we pay $5.69 at our local Wal-Mart. This product also comes in a smaller bottle, for around half of that. Head & Shoulders products can be found at most discount stores and grocery stores, although prices will vary between locations.
~*~Ooh! It Tingles!~*~
The first time my husband used Head & Shoulders Refresh, he got out of the shower raving about how it cooled his scalp, as well as gave it a great tingling sensation. At first I thought he was over exaggerating, so I decided I'd give it a try to see what all the fuss was about. I couldn't deny that my husband had been absolutely right, it really did make my scalp tingle and a wonderfully cooling sensation was certainly evident. Unfortunately, that was my first and last experience with Head & Shoulders Refresh. I loved the way it felt, but contrary to what it says on the bottle, it isn't for all hair types. My hair felt dried out immediately after using it.
However, my husband has fairly normal hair, although a bit oily. Head & Shoulders Refresh works wonderfully on his hair, preventing white flakes, and keeping his scalp fresh and cool. Since using Head & Shoulders, I have rarely noticed a flake, and, with Head & Shoulders Refresh, the same holds true. This shampoo contains the same dandruff fighting ingredients, but also contains natural mint for that wonderfully refreshing tingling and cooling sensation.
My husband's hair is soft, and easy for him to manage. He has experienced no drying effects with this shampoo. Best of all, his hair smells clean and wonderful all day! This shampoo has a great and very clean scent, that, while a little bit overwhelming during cleansing, smells great after it is rinsed. Head & Shoulders Refresh is PH balanced, and can be used everyday. Head & Shoulders Refresh is easy to rinse out, but, if it gets into your eyes, watch out! Most shampoos burn when they get into your eyes, but this one seems to set them on fire.

~*~Overall Opinion~*~
I would definitely recommend Head & Shoulders Refresh to those fighting dandruff with normal to oily hair. However, if you have dry or damaged hair, you might not want to pick this shampoo up. It refreshes and cools the scalp while leaving a clean scent that lasts. It fights dandruff and keeps flakes and itchiness at bay.
