Pros:It's trendy!
Cons:Low taste, only 3.5% alcohol, way too expensive
The Bottom Line: Miller Lite has more flavor than this stuff!
Do you like paying too much for watery beer with a fancy name that might impress your friends? If so, try Heineken Light. It has less taste than Miller Lite and will take a bigger chunk out of your wallet than most other light beers. But hey, its all about being seen with the cool label, right?
I am not a picky person when it comes to beer. Ill drink light beer, lagers, honey beer, or pretty much anything out there. Same goes with sodas. Ill drink a Coke, Diet Coke, root beer, Dr. Pepper, Sprite, or whatever. Im not too particular because I think they are all pretty good in one way or another. When it comes to keeping a few beers in the fridge for winding down after a hard days work, I usually stock up on Miller Lite because its fairly inexpensive and I think it tastes pretty good. However, I sometimes opt for some of the premium stuff and thats when I bring home something like this beer.
In fact, just the other day I called my wife on the way home from work and told her I was going to stop by Wal-Mart and get some beer. After she finished rolling her eyes, which I could practically hear over the phone, she told me not to spend too much. When I came home with a $15 case of Heineken Light, she thought I was crazy. I told her that she just didnt understand because she doesnt like beer, then I opened up one of these bad boys and realized Id just blown my $15 on lame beer.
If you like regular Heineken beer, heres all you need to do in order to try the Light stuff You dont even have to buy any Just take a regular Heineken and pour half of it into your favorite glass or mug. Now fill the other half with water. Stir it around, then drink. There you go - Heineken Light.
This beer smells and tastes just like a regular Heineken thats been cut with a lot of water. Its very lightly sweet, but the 3.5% alcohol potency is incredibly weak. I can usually get a little sumthin off a couple of beers, but I get nothing from drinking two of these. This beer has a heaviness to it that makes me not want to drink another after finishing my first, and thats even when I am in a drinking mood. For the record, I very rarely drink more than three unless I am at a party.
If theres anything this beer has going for it, the nutritional info will impress the healthy folks out there. At only 99 calories per bottle, its competitive with many other light brands. You just have to remember that with less alcohol than many others, you might end up drinking an extra couple just to keep any kind of buzz going. Like many diet foods, you often end up eating more than youre supposed to, thus negating the reason for going with the light stuff to begin with.
In short, this stuff has low alcohol content, not much taste, and costs way too much to be as weak and watered down as it is, and this is coming from a Miller Lite guy. Dont waste your money on Heineken Light.
