Pros: Same great flavor in a bottle that allows it to come out easily.
Cons: You can screw up and have ketchup come out before you're ready.
The Bottom Line: Leave it to Heinz to keep the same flavor but play around with the bottle.

| zeecee's Full Review: Heinz Tomato Ketchup, Upside Down Squeeze Bottle, ... |
We've all had that experience opening a bottle of ketchup for the first time and finding it's too thick to shake onto our burger or fries. My solution was to get a knife, stick it in the top and start things going that way. But it's not ideal, so I was happy to see that Heinz, the only ketchup I like, came out with this new bottle that allows you to open it from the bottom. The ketchup is ready to go. No more shaking. No more knife. If you're not careful, you might end up with ketchup where you didn't want it though.
The same great Heinz flavor in a plastic bottle, which I always prefer as it eliminates the fear of breakage. I thought this was an inventive idea though I stick with Heinz Ketchup regardless of the bottle. There are restaurants that think they can improve on the flavor and serve "our homemade ketchup" and there are other labels with something called "catsup" but, forget it, Heinz has a lock on this product.
My mother used to put the Heinz "Hot Ketchup" on spaghetti and squeeze some garlic into it to make the most delicious sauce. I thought she'd worked on it for hours so was surprised when she admitted what it was.
I like that Heinz continues to adapt its products without compromising the flavor, which is the one we all grew up with and adore.
