Ran across this card and never heard anything about it but took a chance on it based on the specs on the package. This card installs with no problems. The sound is un-surpassed in richness and clarity of any card I have owned which have been the Soundblaster line. It frees up CPU resources and makes the games run much better with better response. Uses Cirrus Logic processor. The dedicated cable allows for all peripherals for ease of connection ie..speakers, headphones, aux...without ever having to go behind and un- plug. I do a lot of MIDI editing and with the included Yamaha XG driver, this is a big plus, best voice sounds in MIDI format, with exception of a keyboard, around in my opinion.
Excellent 3D sound support from multiple formats..ie Microsoft DirectSound™ 3D, EAX 1.0, EAX 2.0 ,
A3D 1.0, I3DL2, MacroFX, MultiDrive, ZoomFX,
EnvironmentFX.
Digital optical connetion.
This card compares right up there with Creatives Audigy performance, but much lower in price.Top of the line card at an amazing price.Way to go Hercules. Top notch!!!.
