We have purchased a couple dozen of these over the last year and a half or so, for a school district. As someone mentioned in an annoying all-caps message above, it's possible, even easy, to inadvertently kill these printers. The ink carts have a pair of angled nubby things on them, and if the user uses too much force when inserting the cart, those nubs will punch right through the white ribbon cable/contact surface. Whichever side it happens to is then dead. I don't recall seeing it happen yet with the black ink, but we've had at least 7 or 8 of them where this happened to the color side, effectively turning the printers into very expensive black & white inkjets.
