It is OK for a beginner, and I love the fact you can delete the pic right away, if you don't like it in a screen. Memory is not that great maybe I should have the memory card? It does take over 100 shots in one star mode but those pics are not very sharp. And two star mode is limited to 17 pics. Two stars works great for me taking photos from my kids at home, when I can download immediately, but it gets frustrating on a road... Still pics in a sun come out great, but moving shots on a poorer lighting are not much. Anyway this camera has provided me with hundreds of great shots of my kids and animals so it was better solution for me than a traditional camera. I liked the photo software that came with my $40 camera better than cd with this one... So I just use my old software with more options with these pictures.
