inlovewithcats's Full Review: Hewlett Packard HP Photosmart M425 Digital Camera ...
I brought the HP Photosmart M425 for Christmas from Staples. The sale person that work there recommend this camera to me. I thought this would be the perfect one for me, it is basic and it has all the features that I need in a camera. I listen to him and I went with the HP Photosmart M425. It was on sale for $129.96, it was the cheapest one there. Actually, the whole thing cost me $199.38. $24.95 for the memory card and $19.99 for the replacement plan.
I open the box, tooked the camera out. First off, I put the batteries in, the memory card. I turn it on and then I programed the date and time, it was that simple. I was ready to take some pictures, the photos turn out cleared but sometimes the background was a little too dark. Then other times it would be lighter, it all depends on how much light is in the room. You can zoom in and out, to make the photo closer to you. The battery life isn't too good especially if you are taking lots of photos at one time. You are better off buying a rechargeable batteries and a charger. You will save lots of money in the long run. I brought a charger for $15.00+tax at Canadian Tire, it came with 4 batteries, two we're medium size and the others we're the tiny ones. Recording a video is ok but when you are uploading it to the computer it turns dark, there is no sound to the video either.
This wasn't too long after that I brought the camera. I turned the on button, it wouldn't worked. The lens wasn't coming out, it said lens error on the screen. I tried cleaning the camera lens out and I even put fresh batteries in. Still wasn't working. Staples give me a brand new one for free. I was very lucky that I payed the extra for the replacement plan. I would have to buy a new one. It probably had a defect, no problem with this camera. It is working fine.
