zoo76's Full Review: Hewlett Packard Photosmart Premium C309A (CC335A#A...
I wasn't sure about this product, despite the high (Editor's Choice) ranking by several respectable review resources, but I needed a network printer that spoke XP and Vista.
Setup was surprsingly easy using a wired network connection to my wired/wirelss router. All 5 of my computers were able to print a test page immediately after installing the HP software on each.
The printer continues to surpass my expectations, which were set high by the Epson RX500 All-in-One I have been using for the past two years. Print quality is as good, paper handling is as good or better, and scanning is as good or better. This capabilities of duplex printing and document feed scanning are HUGE bonuses for my employment of this printer, both have performed flawlessly in this first month of operation.
The HP seems a little noisier than my Epson, but I find I am already getting used to that difference.
While I would have preferred two letter size paper trays (one for plain paper, one for full sheet glossy photo paper), the separate photo tray is a plus for a great deal of my high quality graphic printing (either 4x6 or 5x7, borderless).
I am used to 5 color cartridges, but the 3 cart configuration of the HP seems to do well in both color quality and life cycle (using the higher capacity XL carts).
Overall I LIKE this printer, though it's been a slowly developing relationship because I LOVED my Epson RX500. It appears that, as the HP continues to prove itself trustworthy, it will be allowed into my inner circle of home office reliance.
