Pros:Nice size, weight, & look, built in Wi-Fi capability is a plus
Cons:Struggling to open e-mail messages with Wi-Fi connection
I purchased rx1950 over eBay for $248 (S&H included), so I felt like I got a lot of features for the price compared to competitive products at a big box retailer. My primary need for PDA is to keep contact & calendar information easily at hand when it is too cumbersome to take or boot laptop PC. For this purpose the iPAQ seems very adequate. Sync with PC data in MS Outlook is quick & easy. I was attracted to the built-in Wi-Fi capability, but as yet this has been somewhat disappointing. I can access basic web sites to check news & scores, but when I try to open e-mail messages, I get a message stating I need to upgrade to a newer version of Outlook. I have tried downloading updated version of Outlook on a couple of occasions, but the unit seems to lock up on the Microsoft web site. The iPAQ looks sharp; it is thin, sleek, and the display is bright and clear. As a basic PDA, I think it will serve my needs very well. If I can get the e-mail bug resolved, I think I'll be extremely pleased with the purchase.
