reumanmj's Full Review: Hiviz Magnetic Shotgun Sights
I purchased the Hi-Viz magnetic shotgun sight for my Mossberg 500 dove gun about 9 years ago and then another Hi-Viz magnetic shotgun site for my Mossberg 835 a year ago. My purchase goal was to acquire a sight or sight paint that was easy to see when dove hunting in early morning and late evening hours. This shot gun sight met my expectations and more. Twilight hours are when this little sight really shines. They work by gathering the ambient light and focusing it into the fiber optic tube that is part of the sight mounted on top of your shotgun barrel. When you shoulder the shotgun, you get a nice bright green, red or yellow dot at the end of your barrel. The sight picture is very nice, not distracting or fuzzy. In addition, there is no need of sight adjustments because it is directly in front of where your existing sight bead is mounted. The Hi-Viz package included 3 different colors, red, green and yellow. I grew accustomed to the green and it is very noticeable against the sky line when dove hunting or clay pigeon shooting. Shooters that have borrowed my shotgun always comment on the Hi-Viz sight and are always surprised to know that it is removable and very affordable! Good hunting!
