Moab, Utah is a popular destination - not necessarily because it is Moab, but because it located just south of Arches National Park. For those that dont camp in Arches National Park, Moab is the closest and most convenient pit stop for park visitors. This became clear when we found many hotels full in Moab center square and had to move slightly farther south in the city. We eventual found our home for the night in Comfort Suites of Moab.

The Room
When you walk into the room the bathroom is just off the main entry area which includes a full bath with shower, toilet and a sink with a lot of counter space.
The bathroom in our room was fairly clean (not perfect, but clean), but the shower had very bad water pressure.
Outside of the bathroom in the entry area is a small niche that houses a microwave, refrigerator and a small counter with a coffee maker.
The main part of the room is broken into two sections. The sections are broken by a wood banisters that break the room into two separate areas.
The first area is the sleeping area which contains two queen beds, a night stand with lamp, a alarm clock, a small desk, a large wardrobe/dresser/TV Stand. Inside of the wardrobe is an ironing board and iron.
The second part of the room is a simple seating area that has a table with two chairs, a love seat and a sitting chair. A large window looks out of the room with a AC/Heating Unit just below it.
My Thoughts
We only stayed in the Comfort Suites in Moab, Utah for one night and that is all I would have wanted to stay. While the bathroom was clean the rest of the room was not in the best of conditions.
One of the most notable and first problems we had in the room was the AC Unit. This unit was not on when we entered the room so we went ahead and turned it on. Immediately a bad smelling came blowing out of it. Looking down into the coils it was obvious that it had never been cleaned and the dirt was getting singed inside
Needless to say that doesnt produce the most wonderful smell in the world.
While we were settling into the room we checked our beds and found that both comforters (one of each bed) were visible dirty. They had a silky soft touch, the type of thing I associate with dry-clean only materials. It was clear that the hotel made no point in cleaning the comforters between guests (Yuck! I thought chain hotels had moved away from this practice).
On top of these problems the dark carpeting hid how dirty the carpet truly was. This little fact was apparent on my sons feet when they had turned black on the bottom
Aside from that there was spots on the wall where soda had been slouched around and not cleaned up and this was visible on the walls both inside our room and outside our room.
Overall I dont feel like a hotel can come up with a good excuse not to have clean bedding on a bed
This was easily the biggest turn-off for me in this hotel and that alone means I wouldnt return.
