Skeptical at first, but pleasantly surprised!

Pros: Light, and powerful. Versatile attachments.
Cons: Blower attachment good for basic cleanup, not good for major jobs.
The Bottom Line: I could not be more pleased with the way this product performs. I'm glad I didn't return it.

| thowell's Full Review: Homelite Expand-It Trimmer |
Ive read the two other reviews about this device and I cant begin to disagree more! No, I am not a village idiot, this product is getting a bad rap.
Let me start by saying that my wife got this for me as a gift. I had been using an Echo weedeater, and a Craftsman blower for years to do my yard work up until someone decided to borrow them from my garage and then neglect to return them (euphemism for they got stolen).
My next door neighbor had a universal type lawn tool, and I always was very skeptical about its quality, because it just looked cheap. When I opened my gift and saw what it was, I was horribly disappointed and tried to figure out a way to exchange it.
Despite my initial reservations, I went ahead and gave it a spin
WOW!
It started like a champ, and has more power than my ECHO trimmer ever did.
I just recently ran out of the stock line that it came with, and replaced it with a more quality line. Id swear that it could cut thru small trees now.
The gift included a non-Homelite universal blower attachment. It fit perfectly, and works great for cleaning up the driveway and sidewalks after I finish mowing. If you are looking to blow around the Fall leaves, this may not be for you.
I plan to purchase the Troy-Bilt hedge trimmer attachment soon.
